I juggle. I juggle my kids. I juggle everyone’s schedules. I juggle bedtimes. I juggle household chores. I juggle reminding the boys to do their chores. I juggle the things I want to do versus the things I need to do. I juggle writing. I juggle reading versus watching tv. I juggle taking care of the fur babies. I juggle because that’s my life. My messy, crazy, beautiful, blessed life. And somedays when I’m juggling it all I feel like I’ve got it all together and I’m totally nailing it. Other days I feel overwhelmed by my blessings and like a failure because I feel that way. So I want to share two things I’ve learned this week…

1-Don’t borrow tomorrow’s worries for today. While Kenny was still 2 days away from his first shift, I caught myself worrying about how I was going to get everyone where they needed to go IF he got held on his in between day. I mean, that’s a reality right now. An inevitable reality. Something I need to juggle. Something I need to plan for. But not something I need to worry about. Matthew 6:27 says, “Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” And then again in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own.”

2-Phone a friend, swallow your pride, ask for help where help is needed. Humility. Recognizing that although I may be able to do it myself, I don’t need to. God has blessed me with the sweetest friends to walk through this life with me. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down ones life for one’s friends.”

Those are my take aways for the week. So while I juggle, I will breathe. I will pray. I will give thanks to my creator for all of the blessings that I juggle. And now that I’ve typed the word juggle so much, I think I will get some juggling balls and learn how to juggle.
