Today is Christopher’s last first day of middle school-8th grade. Today is Evan’s first day of middle school-6th grade. Today is Logan’s first day of 4th grade. The tears caught me by surprise as I prayed for my kids on the ride to school. They choked me as my handsome middle schoolers got out of the car. They stayed pushed down into my eyeballs where I forced them to be while I drove Logan to school. My babies are not babies anymore, they are big and old and that makes me a little teary eyed. I am excited to see what this school year has in store for them. I am excited to see them grow and learn and do hard things. I am excited to pray for them when they struggle and to pray for them when they succeed.

On another note… my nephew starts kindergarten tomorrow. I have had the most awesome responsibility and privilege of taking care of him a few days a week for the last 4 years?! A HUGE thank you to my brother in law and sister in law for trusting me with their baby-I loved every minute with him and am so thankful for the relationship I have with him.
