I’m going to circle back to an old one because my brain is running on empty after a bad night of sleep. God is faithful. God is faithful through every even if. He sent his one and only son to save us from our sins. Last night at Maundy Thursday service we heard the story of the crucifixion of Jesus. Even in his death, God was faithful. But wait! There’s good news coming! Jesus rose 3 days later. God is still faithful.
On my walk yesterday, I spied a coyote through a clearing in the woods, it may have been a deer, but I didn’t stick around to find out. I became a cross country runner, in fact, thankfully the woods I was in wasn’t too deep and the exit was easily accessible but what was probably 30 seconds to a minute felt like a lifetime. I am not an adrenaline junky by any means. My heart racing from panic and physical exertion, but still God is faithful. I should have slept soundly last night after a stressful day, but I tossed and turned and for a while, I heard howling in the distance. Perhaps the same coyote that was in the woods with me (unless it was a deer). Even in my tired today, God is faithful. He is the same faithful God who rose Jesus from the grave. Today, I challenge myself to think a little less about my circumstances and to focus on the risen savior and my faithful God. Will you join me?
