This is what I know…

All of us parents and care givers are in a tough place. To some of us, the impending decision making seems crystal clear, to others it feels like you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. I truly believe that right here and right now-there is no right decision, and I truly believe that right here and right now-there is no wrong decision. We are all trying to do the best we can. Some of us are feeling the need to defend or justify our decisions-hear this-it is going to be ok. Back in March when schools shut down-there really were no decisions to be made-for most of us. Most of us hunkered down and lived in survival mode until the new normal set in. Today-on this day in August-whoever you are, wherever you may be-life is different-it is even different than it was that day in March when it seemed like the world shut down. Hear this-you can not please everyone-and if we live to please everyone-we will get it all wrong because surely we will lose a piece of ourselves in that. To my dear friends, family, and if by some strange chance someone who I don’t know is reading this-when you decide if your kid/kids will be going to back school in person, doing school remote, or going the homeschool route-whatever your decision is-if it is right for your family then it is the right decision.
