Although it was a bit chilly today, the sun was shining and it was a good day to get some fresh air. Kenny had Christopher and Evan out all day doing landscaping while Logan and I had a quiet day at home, which I so desperately needed. I had a social distance visit from a sweet friend today and we sat and chatted for hours in the sun.
As I sat down to write tonight, I realized that one year ago today, Logan had surgery on his arm to have a plate and screws put in after breaking his arm for the second time in 4 months. I continue to pray for his bones to heal completely and that they would get stronger, but also that he would get stronger in other areas. That was such a stressful time in our lives, but we have so much to be thankful for today. He has grown so much, persevered through so much, and has had a fantastic attitude through it all. As I look back at those stressful months last year and think about the stressful times we are living in now, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness through it all and I am thankful for each trial He has brought us through. I don’t know what the world will look like when this is all over. But I know that we will get through this.
Be well.
