A few weeks ago I had the complete joy and privilege to see Brandon Lake in concert at TD Garden in Boston with a few wonderful, godly women that I go to church with and call my sisters in Christ and friends. To say that I was blessed by this concert was an understatement. This concert was truly a night of worship. 14,000 people with hands raised all around the garden worshipping Jesus through music, prayer, and preaching. Brandon Lake stood on that stage and gave the gospel, not to the perfect but to the imperfect, the broken, the sick, the hurting… Truth be told, we all fit into one of those categories. No one is perfect, not even one (Romans 3:10). We are all sinners in need of a savior, every single one of us. Even the ones who appear to have their lives all put together but are empty inside.
This week, as life has been happening all around me, in my 4 walls and beyond, I couldn’t get Gratitude by Brandon Lake out of my head. He sang it at the Garden. It is a beautiful song to hear on the radio, Spotify, YouTube, etc but in person, oh in person, tears filled my eyes and ran down my face. Life is hard sometimes. God never promised an easy life. He said, in this world you will have trouble, but take heart for I have overcome the world. John 16.33. So, today, on this Tuesday in March, will you lift up your hands in gratitude to God for everything he’s done and everything he’s still yet to do? Will you lift up your hands in gratitude when life is hard? Will you lift up your hands in surrender and gratitude that you are not alone? If you are reading this and you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and savior, drop me a comment or send me a message. I’d love to talk to you about Him. In the meantime, listen to Gratitude, I’ve shared the link below. Be well today friends.
