And just like that poetry month has come to a close. Though I participate in poetry month, specifically through the Poem A Day Challenge every year, I think I enjoyed it more this year than in previous years. Thank you for coming along side me and reading my poems. I’m looking forward to writing more poetry in the months to come and I’m also excited to share some new projects and blog topics coming up soon! But before I go, here are a few of my last poems!

Day 27- New Me

Washed clean

by the blood of Jesus

Forgiven of my sins

by the one who paid it all on the cross

Baptized in the name of

the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Risen to new life

Redeemed for a purpose

in his great plan

Following Him is the best decision

I’ve ever made

He always loved me, always knew me

Now I’m a new me.

Day 28-A Color Poem- Blue

Blue is the sky,

the water.

Blue is the way

I often feel.

Blue is joy

and hope.

Blue is all around

me.

Blue is comfort,

a warm embrace.

Blue is love,

emotions and

feelings.

Blue is

lovely and kind,

full of empathy.

Blue is creativity,

a spark in an

otherwise dull space.

Blue is sleep,

peaceful and sweet.

Blue.

Day 29-Nearing the end or nearing the beginning-Endings and Beginnings

Am I nearing the end

or nearing the beginning.

Aren’t they one in the same,

because as one chapter

draws to a close,

a new one is on the horizon.

Goodbye and hello.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

Perspective is in the eye of the beholder,

as is beauty

and change can be beautiful

though we may fear the unknown.

But life is full of endings

and beginnings

because life is always changing.

So buckle up and hold on tight,

it’s a wild ride.

Day 30-A Remix Poem- Pep Talk(This has lines taken from other poems throughout the month to make a new poem)

Smile and have a good attitude

Shine bright

Onward and upward

take a leap

Let it go

The sun will shine again.
