As I closed my eyes last night, I realized, I did not express my thankful thoughts on here for the day. I could not bear to get up at that point, so I thanked God for what he has blessed me with and drifted off into a much needed slumber. But here I am, back at it today, thankful for all of you who are engaging in the journey with me. Keep counting your blessings.

Day 10:

I was thankful for…

1-Being able to volunteer in the church nursery with some of the cutest little ones ever.

2-Mild temps for a gorgeous and long beach walk.

3-Curling up with a craft, a cocoa, and a Hallmark movie.

Day 11:

Today I am thankful for…

1-Cute dogs.

2-Exercise.

3-A lovely Veterans Day ceremony in our little town and the message the keynote speaker shared about his military experience. I am especially thankful for all who have served and who are currently serving.

Heavenly Father, thank you for our Veterans. Lord, I heard today that a very large number of veterans die by suicide and that many veterans are homeless. Lord I pray for these men and women. Please help those who are hurting to reach out for the help they need and have access to help. Lord help them to not suffer in silence and to not be ashamed. Lord help them to know you above all else as their Lord and Savior. I also pray that you would help the rest of us Lord, to help veterans in need, to not be so self consumed but to be so consumed by you that we see the needs of those around us. In Jesus name Amen.
