This wasn’t anything I planned to write this month, but alas May has been just like that for our family. What more can I say except God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
Bruce Allan Meyer originally of Brooklyn, NY died peacefully in his Vero Beach, Florida home on Monday, May 11 2026 at 81 years old. Bruce was born January 6, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Nathan and Faye Meyer. As a kid growing up in Brooklyn he enjoyed being an older brother to Charles, spending time in his Aunt and Uncle’s bakery, and going to Coney Island to eat Nathan’s hotdogs.
Bruce served in the US Army for 3 years, one of which he spent in Europe. While he was never in active combat he had many stories to tell about his year overseas. He enjoyed getting to see the world outside of the five boroughs.
After his first daughter(Sheri) was born Bruce and his family relocated from Brooklyn to Rockland County New York to raise their family. Bruce always tried to be a good father to his daughters, Sheri and Cari, but his favorite title would come along years later when he became a grandpa.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, eating chinese food, and spending time with his family.
Bruce is survived by his brother Charles and wife Sharon of Vero Beach, Florida, his daughter Sheri and her husband Don of Vero Beach, Florida, his daughter Cari and her husband Kenny of Hull, Massachusetts, and his 11 grandkids Noelle, Tyler, Mercy(and husband James), Caleb, Anna, Christopher, Jedidiah, Evan, Ella, Logan, and Eden. Grandpa Bruce will be missed by his family but they are rejoicing that he will be spending eternity in Heaven after giving his life to Jesus days before his death.
