If I look back over my entire summer, this song may have been the first to hit me in the gut and make the tears sting my eyeballs. This is a truly humbling song about our need for God, our brokenness and how he makes us whole. No matter the circumstance, be it raising teenagers, the fire life, the mental load, sickness, injury, or any number of things, we need God. If I take my eyes off of Him, everything goes out of focus and haywire. Though this life will never be perfect, I can have peace when I surrender control and follow Him.
